Here are some of our most frequently asked questions which may be of assistance in planning your stay. If you have further questions, please contact us.

  • Our standard check-in is 2pm and check-out is 10am.

  • To request an early check-in or late check out please contact our team prior to arrival/departure. Please note we will always strive to accommodate an early check in or late check out, but it cannot be guaranteed.

  • We require a valid and current government issued form of ID - ie Drivers Licence or Passport

  • The minimum check in age for the main guest at the time of booking is 18 years. The Tamborine reserves the right to check photo ID at the time of check-in.

  • You can complete a pre-arrival form via your mobile to ensure a seamless check-in on the day off arrival. You will need to visit reception to collect your room key on the day of check-in. You also need to return your key to reception on the day of check-out.

  • We accept all major credit cards including, VISA, Mastercard & Amex

  • Depending on the rate you have selected you may pay the full rate at time of booking, or up to 14 days prior to your arrival.

    Please check the specific terms and conditions of the rate you have selected.

    All bookings regardless of payment terms require a valid credit card to guarantee the booking.

    All rooms will pay a $200 security deposit on arrival which is refunded following the conclusion of your stay.

  • The Tamborine reception is located in The Hub. Typical operating hours are between 7am-7pm daily.

    If you are planning to depart or arrive outside of these hours please contact the team prior to your arrival date so we can organise access.

  • Please contact reception as soon as possible.

    If it is outside of the reception hours you will need to use the emergency out of hours number.

    Please note fees apply for out of hours call outs and key replacements.

  • The Tamborine can accommodate private groups and we invite you to contact the team to discuss at hello@thetamborine.com.au

  • Coolangatta Airport is approximately 1 hour from the hotel. Brisbane Airport is approximately 1 hour 30 from the hotel.

  • The mineral swimming pool is heated to 26 degrees all year round. The mineral spa is heated to 38 degrees all year round. Please note the pool area is open for hotel guests only from 7am – 7pm daily.

  • We do not have a designated luggage storage area that is secure. We recommend holding luggage in your vehicle at the hotel if waiting to check in.

  • No, we are a non-smoking/vaping venue across our entire site.

  • Yes, WiFi details are provided upon check in and the high-speed service is free of charge.

  • All of our rooms are visited by our housekeeping team daily to refresh towels and make your bed.

  • We have 2 accessible rooms at The Tamborine.

    There is designated  accessible carparking with wheelchair access to main reception.

    Please note that we do not have a lift, therefore, guests should request to book one of our accessible rooms or another ground floor room.

  • Our rooms are not inter-connecting.

    We only offer King bed rooms suitable for 2 people. We have a select number of guest rooms that can be split into single beds.

    Please contact reception for assistance when booking if you require rooms to be situated near each other.

  • Yes, however please note that our guestrooms are not designed to accommodate fold out beds or cots.

    Children under the age of 16 will need to be accompanied by an adult in their own room.

    Travel cots can be brought but the team must be informed prior to arrival so we can make the necessary arrangements to accommodate.

  • We have a curated Pantry showcasing locally sourced produce.

    Items can be purchased for your in-room fridge, a poolside bite or on your next adventure as a picnic.

    A bar snack menu is also available throughout the day.

  • Please note that each room is identical except that the first floor have balconies and the ground floor have direct access to the lawn.

    Each room has the same magnificent view down the valley.

    Please note that the property does not have a lift to the first floor.

  • We do not offer a laundry service. We do have an ironing station for guests to utilise.

  • We offer a complimentary continental breakfast with your stay served in The Hub between 7am-9am daily.

  • We don't have a restaurant at The Tamborine. We do however offer guests a menu of light snacks which can be ordered poolside or in the central lounge between 12-6pm.

    We also have a Hotel ‘Pantry’ stocking locally sourced products which can enjoyed in guest rooms, or anywhere on the Hotel grounds.

    Alternatively, you may wish to pack a picnic before heading out for the day!

    Tamborine Mountain offers some great restaurants locally and we have curated our list of favourites for you here.

    We recommend making reservations as far in advance as possible for these popular spots.

  • Reservations are not required, and our continental breakfast can be enjoyed throughout the hotel’s common areas.

  • We ask guests to pay as they go to ensure a smooth checkout.

    Please note that we are a cashless venue.

  • Only hotel guests can be on the hotel grounds unless pre-authorised by hotel management.
